What is Airdrop?
Airdrop is a one of the fastest data transfer mediums, you can share the video, photos, or audio files from iphone to other iphone appears nearby devices.
Airdrop needs wifi connection to transfer the data.
Why does airdrop fail or lose connections?
Sometimes there may be problems with the iphone connection, internet and wifi or other reason may be, due to this you can't transfer the data from airdrop.
How to check if the Airdrop is working?
Before transferring the data you have to see that both devices are compatible with Airdrop or not. However some old devices are not compatible with airdrop just because it has been already outdated now.
So companies are going to discontinue the services or those devices.
iPhone 5
iPhone 5 and later devices are compatible for Airdrop.
iPad 4
ipad 4th generation and later are compatible for Airdrop.
iPod Touch
Ipod touch 5th gen later are compatible for Airdrop.
Mac
Mac from 2012 and from later are compatible for Airdrop.
Before using the Airdrop please reset the device and use the Airdrop.
How to use an Airdrop?
Make sure that both devices must be on and connected with Wifi and bluetooth should be turned on. If you are unable to turn it on please visit the phone setting there will be an option related to that.
Open the control center. Wifi and bluetooth button shows in blue button, it means both are activated.
If the button is not showing blue that means it is off so swap the button and make it on.
How to manage your airdrop setting?
To access your airdrop setting you must go to Setting > general > airdrop
Turn off your VPN
- if you are using any VPN to hide your ip and information, you have to turn it off just for the security reason.
- Showing how to turn it off vpn just follow it go to the Setting > VPN > Switch the green side to off
- make sure your battery must be charged as airdrop use Bluetooth and WIFI which work both needs consume more battery.
- If the battery is low or less than 20% it may create problems with Airdrop.
Requirements: -
You have to have enough space in your device, and devices must be fully charged. you may not be able to use the feature.
How to Adjust Airdrop Setting?
To choose your who can see your device and send you files and data.
- 1. Go to settings, then tap general.
2. Top airdrop then choose an option.
if you see receiving off and can't tap to change it, Just follow the steps
- Go to setting
- Screentime
- Tap content & privacy restrictions
- Tap allow apps and make sure your airdrop must be turned on.
